Maud Wiemeijer created the concept and wrote the screenplay, while Valerie Bisscheroux is the director. Hanna van Vliet, known for the musical De Tweeling (2015), Fiddler on the Roof (2017) and the feature film Oh Baby (2017), plays the role of Anne.   

Cast

The ANNE+ cast consists of young Dutch talent from the Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and other drama schools/educations.

Hanna van Vliet + Anne

Hanna van Vliet

Hanna van Vliet graduated in Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2014. She did an internship at the theatre companies Orkater and Toneelschuur Producties. She played the title role in the Dutch musical of Pipi Longstocking and a leading role in the musical De Tweeling. Last year she starred as Hodol in the musical Fiddler on the Roof. In addition to her work in theatre, she can be seen in various films and series like B.A.B.S., Danni Lowinski, Toon, Boers, Ron Goossens, Low-Budget Stuntman and Oh Baby.

 

Eline van Gils + Lily

Eline van Gils

Eline van Gils graduated in Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2014. During her studies she worked on a variety of theatre productions like Kabaal en Liefde during the Zeeland Nazomerfestival in Renesse and Thriller, which was performed in the Energiehuis in Dordrecht. In de armen van Morpheus is her latest performance: a non-verbal solo and graduation performance at the Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts by director Sanya Schreuder.

 

Sharai Rodrigues + Janna

Sharai Rodrigues

Sharai Rodrigues graduated in Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2014. She works as a theatre maker and actress. During her studies she worked on a variety of theatre productions, among others, the youth production The 101 Dalmatiens by Bos Theaterproducties. Together with colleague Hannah Zwaving she founded the theater group Zusje Dood. In addition to her work in theatre, she can be seen in the film Alle tijd. She won the Dutch championship of the Dutch Bartenders Club and is one of the trainers at the ISAAC Company, Europe’s leading bar and spirit training institute.

 

Djamila Landbrug + Sofie

Djamila Landbrug

Djamila Landbrug (1988) graduated from HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in 2010. After her studies, she attended the Visual Arts Teacher training program at Willem de Kooning Academy. She works as a theatre teacher at the Amsterdamse Jeugdtheaterschool, Buitenkunst and several high schools. She played in De andere stem and was a theatre teacher at the International Theatre Amsterdam (ITA). She played in productions such as A Raisin in the Sun by Well Made Productions and the Toneelschuur production Cruel and Tender. In addition to her work in theatre, she can be seen in various films and television series like Nieuwe Buren and Papadagen.

Kirsten Mulder + Esther

Kirsten Mulder

Kirsten Mulder made her debut on television in the series Westenwind. She worked with director Marcus Azzini at Teatro for a few years before joining Toneelgroep Oostpool. At this theatre company she played leading roles in Van de brug af gezien, Tramlijn Begeerte, Lulu, Angels in America and Demonen. At Toneelschuur Producties she played in Andromache and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. She received a Comlumbina for this performance. In addition to her work in theatre, she can be seen in films like Publieke Werken and Oud Zeer and television series like Moordvrouw, Flikken Rotterdam and Annie M.G.

 

Jouman Fattal + Sara

Jouman Fattal

Jouman Fatal (Syria, 1992) is an actress, theater maker and writer. She graduated from HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in 2015. As a columnist (Spunk, Joop.nl, radio NPO1 and Vileine) and theater maker she desires to make herself and her audience reflect on society in a funny, creative and sometimes painful way. In the spring of 2016 she developed the solo performance Terug at Frascati Amsterdam. In addition to her work in theatre, she can be seen in various television series like Moordvrouw and Project Orpheus.

Jade Olieberg + Jip

Jade Olieberg

Jade Olieberg (1993) graduated from the Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2016. She did a masterclass at Toneelgroep Amsterdam and internship at Toneelschuur Producties in 2015, where she performed in Smekelingen. She was asked for the production Nachtgasten in 2016. In addition to her work in the theatre, she can be seen in the movie Zomer and various television series like VRijland, Van God Los, Moordvrouw, Celblok H, Dokter Deen, Flikken Maastricht, Penoza and the CBS-series Ransom. She just finished the play De Wereldvergadering from Orkater.

Amy van der Weerden + Daantje

Amy van der Weerden

Amy van der Weerden graduated from the Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts in 2015. She did an internship at Toneelgroep Maastricht and played in Alleen in Berlijn, directed by Aike Dirkzwager. After graduating she played in The Dreaming, Het Ontmoetingsbureau and Better Safe Than Sorry by Merel Smitt, Paradise Pigs and Oor Overboord by Jan Jasper de Vries, Kaptka and Scherven by Sytze Schalk. She also played in the television series Toon, the student film Niet Dat Ik Niet Van Je Hou by Sophia de Hoog and the short film Quiet Nights Again by Olivier Terpstra.

Alex Hendrickx + Casper

Alex Hendrickx

Alex Hendrickx debuted with a leading role in the children’s series De Magische Wereld van Pardoes in 2011. Soon after this a role followed in the popular teen series Spangas. Besides this he played in television series Gerede Twijfel, Flikken Maastricht, Moordvrouw and Petticoat. Alex also played in films like Gangsterdam, Ventoux, Fissa, De Verbouwing, Achtstegroepers Huilen Niet and the Telefilms Laptop and Het Bestand. Alex graduated from the Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts in 2017. In 2018 he plays in All Stars De Musical and on television in the psychological thriller Ik Weet Wie Je Bent.

Huib Cluistra + Teun

Huib Cluistra

Huib Cluistra (1990) graduated in Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2014. During his studies he made the theater performance It Touched Me together with Rosa da Silva and performed in Carré in Talloze Namen. After his graduation he played in ANNE in Theatre Amsterdam, Cirus Reve, Soof de Musical and Poz Paradise in the Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, but also at festivals like Fringe, De Karavaan, in the Amsterdamse Bostheater and the Literary Theatre Branoul. He also played in television series like Flikken Maastricht, Jeuk and Spangas and the movie De Zevende Hemel.

Maud Wiemeijer + Screenplay

Maud Wiemeijer

Maud received her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Amsterdam in 2016. During her studies, she was assistant director to Ursul de Geer for Advocaat van de Duivel, by Bos Theaterproducties. In the beginning of 2015, she wrote and directed the theater play Persona, of één van de andere archetypen, about the current generation of art students. She is also the co-writer of the short film Trifle (The One Vision Party). In late 2015 Maud created the concept for ANNE+, because she wants to develop herself as a screenwriter and because she believes that lesbians are still underrepresented in Dutch films and series.

Valerie Bisscheroux + Director

Valerie Bisscheroux

Valerie graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy – Production, Class of 2017 – with the movies Aimée and Bloed Kruipt. She was nominated for the FPN Award 2017 – partly because of her project plan for ANNE+. She has been working as an assistant producer at Millstreet Films since October 2017. Scenarist Maud Wiemeijer approached Valerie with the idea for ANNE+ in 2015, creating a perfect opportunity for Valerie to explore her directing ambitions.

Laura Bouwmeester + Producer

Laura Bouwmeester

Laura is currently working as a freelance researcher and production coordinator. She received her master’s degree with honors in Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam in 2011. After working as an assistant to the producers at film production company Submarine, Laura decided to work for herself. In March 2017, Maud and Valerie asked Laura to join them to make ANNE+ a successful project. Besides working for ANNE+, Laura does projectbased work for distribution company Periscoop Film and documentary production company DOXY Films.

Renée Janssen + Executive Producer

Renée Janssen

Renée received her Sociology master’s degree in Gender, Sexuality and Society in 2014. She joined the ANNE+ team in 2017, after meeting Valerie and Maud in a bar. Besides her work as an executive producer for ANNE+, she is currently also working as a producer and researcher for Topkapi Nonfiction. She is fascinated by making hybrid combinations of fiction and non-fiction.

Cor Booy + Cinematography

Cor Booy

Cor graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy – Cinematography, Class of 2017 – with the movies De Nieuwe Man and Phoenix 38. He worked on the movie Sint (2010), by director Dick Maas, the series Petticoat (2016-) and a new movie by Clint Eastwood, which is currently in production. Cor has been deeply involved in the production of ANNE+ since the beginning of the project. He wants to develop himself as Director of Photography for movies, commercials and documentaries.
